THE FIRST ENTRY OF OUR ON-GOING SERIES; STORIES WE TELL (AND OTHER HEALING PROJECTS)
For me, this year has been the genesis of a deep yearning. In the early days of all the missing, I relied heavily on neighbourhood walks for sanity; an opportunity to practice smiling with my eyes, finding any excuse to get a little sunlight on my skin. for a week straight in march, I kept finding these plastic chain links which I suppose were from some party prop held by a gathering rendered impossible in a matter of weeks. as the months got warmer and the world ramped up, i had forgotten about this coy little game I had played with the universe for those seven days. then, in october, in a new home far away from that cabbagetown neighbourhood, a few family members less and even some physical space within my marriage these little symbolic reminders showed up to say that every one of our memories is but a tiny chain link in the bigger picture.
Humans are kind of this way too. It was so encouraging to see the lengths we went to to stay anchored to one another. banging pots at 7:30PM, digital hangouts and lots of snail mail. in my job, couples still said vows and got engaged. they still loved each other throughout it all. I know it’s tough now. I’ve found it hard to stay optimistic too. I cried this morning also. Many of us wonder where our enthusiasm went, how to stop feeling so fatigued. Hopefully this post is you finding your own chain link in that winter coat you barely needed this season. A reminder that we are better when we are trying to stay connected to each other - and this piece, this means of processing my own emotions by turning found objects into metal - well, I hope it does that for you also.

A stone the colour of life-blood, red corundum, or ruby as it's more commonly known, is July's birthstone. Long believed to protect it's owner from peril, it is considered the "jewel of kings" and said to promote vitality and stimulate the heart chakra.
The tiniest stone centres this handmade barely there band. An exercise in serendipity, each surrounding small gold ball detail is hand soldered to order, making no two rings the same and just for you.

1. Custom Projects:
Most of our collection items began as a design dreamt up between us and the ring's namesake. Together, we design something completely new that doesn't look like any of our existing collection items. Some info on custom projects with BREADxCircus:
+ $600 design fee
+ Formal design package with approx. 4 - 5 designs and 1 - 2 rounds of edits
+ 6 - 10 week production timeline
+ Stone optioning and selection
+ Dedicated time in our production schedule for adjustments and inquiries
+ A final ring design you can add to our online collection with your namesake.
2. Collection Rework:
Like something in our collection but want to make some adjustments? Perhaps a change in focal stone shape, or band thickness? Start by using our Build Your Own Ring section online and pick from our available items, including stones and upgrades.
Still not seeing what you want? A collection rework takes our existing designs and adjusts them to fit your needs. Some info on collection reworks with BREADxCircus:
+ Discounted design fee
+ Formal design package with requested adjustments and 1 round of edits.
+ 4 - 6 week production timeline
+ Stone optioning and selection
3. Heirloom Rework:
Do you have existing heirloom gold and gemstones you'd like to work with? This is a possibility with BREADxCircus. While every project is different, we can refresh your items into a new design. Here are some things to note:
+ Every item receives a third party gemmological assessment and appraisal pre-deconstruction
+ Stone extraction x casting fees applied
+ $600 custom design fee
+ Formal design package with approx. 4 - 5 designs and 1 - 2 rounds of edits
+ 10 - 12 week production timeline
