FORMS: A Corded Necklace + Pendant Making Workshop

A hands-on introduction to carving and creating your own custom pendant + toggle.

In this small-group workshop, you’ll design and carve a pendant + toggle, which will then be cast in your choice of brass or sterling silver. In this 3.5 hour class, we will begin by spending time spend time designing, followed by a guided, hands-on fabrication session where you are encouraged to play with different types of wax types and tools.

No experience needed. You’ll be guided through the full process: shaping your pendant + toggle, refining proportions with various hand tools, and understanding how a pendant sits and wears on the body. Many wax injection moulds on site of shells and other natural forms for you to create with as well.

Your piece will be professionally cast and finished after the workshop.

What’s included:

• One seat in a small-group workshop (max. 6 participants)
• Guided wax carving session (approx. 3.5 hours)
• A $100 credit towards your finished piece in brass or silver
• Finishing and polishing to get your piece ready to be cast

Workshop Dates:

• Thursday, July 30th : 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday, August 8th : 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM
